Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay has expressed his pleasure at being included in Jurgen Klopp's matchday squad for the first time since joining the club.
Right-back Ramsay was an unused substitute against Rangers in Liverpool's Champions League Group A 2-0 win at Anfield on Tuesday night. And although he wasn't able to get onto the pitch, the promising 19-year-old was just happy to be involved after a delayed start to his career on Merseyside.
Following the conclusion of the match, Ramsay Tweeted: "Great experience being in the squad for the first time, excited for more! @LFC "

The teenager was snapped up by the Reds in the summer from Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen, as Klopp looked to bring in more competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold's full-back position. Having won Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year in his last campaign with the Dons, Liverpool paid an initial £4.2m for his services, making him the most expensive player sale in Aberdeen's history.
Ramsay put pen to paper on a five-year deal, but a scan during his medical uncovered a previously undiagnosed knee issue, which has kept him out of action at the start of the season, delaying his introduction to supporters.
But now back fit and raring to go, Ramsay will be hoping to grab his first team opportunity in the not-too-distant future.
