Calvin Harris 'splits' from girlfriend after Ibiza trips put strain on relationship

Calvin Harris and his model girlfriend Aarika Wolf have reportedly split up after long-distance put a strain on their relationship.

The producer and DJ, 38, and the model, 27, had been dating for four years before their romance turned sour.

According to a source, Calvin has been regularly travelling to his Ibiza farm while Aarika stayed in the US.

A source explained to The Sun : "Calvin wanted to spend more time away from the US, including on his farm in Ibiza, but Aarika is based in the States.

"He has a busy year on the cards with lots of shows being booked which means he will be away on the road even more."

It was claimed that the two had a talk about 'their future as a couple' and ultimately chose it was best to 'call it a day'.

They added: "It's really sad but they both know it is for the best."

The Mirror has contacted Calvin and Aarika's representatives for comment.

Calvin and Aarika first began their romance in 2014 after meeting on the set of his Blame music video.

They were together for seven months and split the following year. A couple of years later, they reconciled and got back together.

It was first reported in January that Calvin decided to start running his own farmland in Ibiza.

According to the Sun, the singer-songwriter sold his multi-million-pound mansion in Los Angeles around two years ago - and now lives and works on a 138-acre farm.

The estate, which is said to be called Terra Masia, is located in Ibiza and is reportedly the "largest organic farm" on the Mediterranean island.

The farm is said to produce vegetables, eggs, wine and other produce, while also hosting special events on-site including weddings.

A source said: "Calvin employs an expert team including farmers and chefs. But that hasn’t stopped him getting involved and he regularly gets his hands dirty."

They further commented: "He is really passionate about what he and the team are doing."

Calvin has previously posted about his rural life on Instagram in the last few months.

Photos shared include a selfie of himself and two sheep with his 9.8 million followers on Christmas Eve last year.

Other posts uploaded by him over the last 12 months have shown him with chickens, for example, as well as growing produce.

He might be living a more quiet lifestyle but the DJ has time for his fans.

Calvin recently announced a summer residency in Ibiza, starting in June.
