Calvin Harris and Vick Hope are reportedly planning to wed in an intimate ceremony in Ibiza this year.
The couple, who were first linked last year after holding hands at the Chelsea Flower Show, are gearing up to say 'I do' at the Scots DJ's Spanish farm. The Dumfries-born star, 38, and the BBC Radio 1 host, 32, have kept their romance relatively quiet after Calvin popped the question in a 'perfect' proposal last year.
A source said: “Calvin and Vick have kept their relationship out of the public eye for the most part, so aren’t having a massive wedding to parade their love in front of the world."
“Instead they want it to be a much more intimate and simple day. They have been planning it for months and everything is now coming together," the insider added to The Sun. “They want it to be a really special occasion for themselves and their nearest and dearest.”
Vick has opened up about the public interest in her relationship as she gears up to wed Calvin, who is one of the highest paid DJ's in the world. Asked in October if they had set a date for their wedding, the broadcaster said: “You know what, I was overwhelmed by the interest in it but I’m keeping my private life private.
“I’ve never experienced ‘this’ before about my private life, but it’s just for us.”
Vick previously opened up about her relationship with the DJ earlier this year, as she discussed her desire to keep things private. "There’s a difference between secrecy and privacy," she said.
She added: "We don't really put anything on social media because the time we have together is "real life" and it's our own. For the first time in a long time, I'm finishing work and going home to a life that is just mine. I'm learning to find balance and peace."
After the news of their engagement broke last year, an insider told The Sun: "Calvin proposed to Vick under his favourite tree on his farm Terra Masia in Ibiza. Vick said yes immediately, she is madly in love with Calvin and could not be any happier.
"She has been wearing her ring for weeks now but no one really noticed. Of course her Radio 1 colleagues spotted it immediately and it's been an open secret there. Everyone is so happy for her.
"Vick has been telling people they are going to be getting married in Ibiza. It's a really special place for them both now and where they want to spend their lives together."
