Calvin Bassey puts Rangers transfer fever to one side as he joins up with Ryan Kent and Co in Los Angeles

Rangers star Calvin Bassey isn't sweating a potential summer transfer as he enjoyed a break from international duty in Los Angeles.

The defender has been strongly linked with a move away from Ibrox to join ex-boss Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa but the Ibrox side want £25m.

Bassey is keeping it chill by spending some time in LA alongside team mates Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Nnamdi Ofoborh.

The 22-year-old shared some snaps of the trip on his Instagram story, as he's Stateside ahead of Nigeria's game with Mexico.

He a group picture as well as a snap of himself and buddy Ryan Kent.

Bassey arrived at Ibrox in the summer 2020, after then boss Gerrard closed a deal with Leicester.

The defender was forced to be patient when waiting for his chance in Govan, but it has been worth the wait.

Bassey is said to be 'open' to Aston Villa transfer talks, with Gerrard's side already getting business done this closed season.

Villa have splashed out more than £70m on Diego Carlo, Philipe Coutinho and Boubacar Kamara, with Luis Suarez also on their wishlist this summer.
