Calvin Bassey has landed praise from former Rangers team-mate Ianis Hagi after he delivered a look into his pre-season preparations.
The former Light Blues star - who made a big money switch to Ajax - has been discussed as a potential English Premier League arrival this summer for Brighton but he's put all that talk to one side as he grafts hard ahead of the big season return. The Nigeria international uploaded a video of the graft he's been putting in both on the pitch and gym.
The footage starts with the full-back working with the ball and taking on opponents before exercise drills involving heading and running come into play. Focus then turns to the gym as he puts in a lot of strength work with the intense nature of his workout there for all to see.

His intense routine grabbed the attention of his former Ibrox team-mate who simply commented "baller".
A host of other Rangers stars past and present showed their appreciation by liking his upload including Borna Barisic, Kemar Roofe, Robby McCrorie, Leon Balogun and Jordan Jones. Oli McBurnie - who is a big Light Blues fan - also showed his support.
Bassey featured for Ajax 39 times last season scoring one goal and providing five assists. He came up against his old club in the Champions League with the Dutch side coming out on top twice with 4-0 and 3-1 wins during the Group A campaign.
But he could be set for a return to England with Roberto de Zerbi believed to be keen on taking him to the Seagulls. They are preparing for the Europa League next term for the first time in their history after a stunning domestic campaign.
