CELTIC skipper Callum McGregor has reflected on leading the club to last season's title.
Ange Postecoglou lifted the Premiership trophy at the end of his debut campaign in the east end of Glasgow.
The Australian gaffer suffered a difficult start to life at the Hoops, suffering three defeats in his first six league matches in charge.
However, Celtic turned their fortunes around with a sensation run of form, as they ended up champions with a comfortable six-point cushion over Rangers.
In a sit down with Sky Sports, McGregor insists the fact that nobody gave Celtic a chance had no bearing on the belief the players had in themselves and what Postecoglou was instructing them to do.
He said: "Everyone on the outside probably gave us virtually no chance, but I think that's the beauty of football.
"When you get a group of players who are hungry and hurting from the season before, the only people who had to believe were in that building. That's what the manager kept saying to us. It's what we as players kept saying.

"It doesn't matter what anybody else is saying, we can go and make it happen and put in the performances and run for each other, have each other's back. It was important that we had a strong mentality within the group."
As stated, Celtic suffered a poor start to the league season last year.
With the club in a state of flux following the failed ten-in-a-row campaign the year previous, it is fair to say there was a lot of negativity surrounding the club.
And while McGregor admits there were doubts, once they received more information about Postecoglou, things slotted into place nicely.
He said: "It puts doubts in your head when you're just waiting on the next piece of information. Obviously, we had the Euros as well so I was trying to fully focus on that.
"The thing about Celtic, even after disappointment, the club always bounces back. We all knew that. I think deep down we were waiting on the information.
"Everyone at the club knew we had to go strong, we have to send a clear message.
"When we got the manager, it was relatively unknown at the time about his work in Europe and what he was like. But the guys quickly spot to Tom (Rogic) to find out all about him and everybody was put at ease in terms of what the guy would bring.
"He's been absolutely first class. Straight away you just got a good feeling from him. He had authority, he spoke well and he had a caring nature.
"Pretty much straight away he said all of the right things, especially for a club like Celtic to play fast, attacking football. That's music to everyone's ears, that's what the supporters want to see.
"Very quickly you saw his sessions were all very high-tempo and he just wanted the whole thing to be moving all of the time, so you could tell right away that's the football he wanted to play, then it was just a case of building from there."
