Celtic captain Callum McGregor believes winning the 2023/24 Scottish Premiership trophy may just be "the most satisfying one" of his career.
McGregor, 30, has lifted silverware 22 times since making his first team debut for the Hoops against KR Reykjavik in July 2014.
The Scotland international is still very much at the heartbeat of the Celtic squad a decade later and his return from injury proved crucial to pipping Rangers to the league crown once again. Even though at one point the fate was out of their own hands.
And speaking to Sky Sports prior to the release of 'Celtic: Champions Again', the Hoops skipper admitted just how fondly he feels about winning a career ninth league title.
"Just as special," he said, when asked to compare the latest triumph to his first at the club.
"I think they get even more difficult every year, they get harder every year because there's always a bigger target on your back and when you are a champion everyone wants to beat you.
"Probably the way that this one has came about and the way that we managed to get over the line,
"(There was) a lot of pressure situations and a lot of pressure moments.
"I would say one of, if not, the most satisfying one, just the way that it's came about.
"So, I'm really proud of the players, really proud of the staff, and the manager to get it over the line."
