Edinburgh singer Callum Beattie surprised a cancer patient with a special Facetime phone call during her hospital appointment.
Katie, a nurse at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre took to Twitter after chatting with her patient and noticing a huge tattoo dedicated to the Leith singer on her arm.
She tweeted at the singer and said: "Hello @callumbeattieuk I’m a nurse in a cancer ward in Edinburgh and I’m looking after a massive fan of yours. A message/phone call from you would make her day."

Katie also attached an image of the patient's tattoo which is replicates Callum's album art used in various singles such as Heart Stops Beating and What it Means.
Just two hours later Callum replied to the tweet saying: "Hey Katie, can you PM your phone number and I’ll FaceTime you when it suits you both."
A short time later, Katie uploaded an imagine of her patient, Helen Christine, posing with her phone in her hand and Callum on facetime with her.
Katie thanked the kind-hearted singer for the gesture which "made Helen's day." She added: "The power of social media!!!! Cannot thank you all enough for sharing and reaching out. You’ve made a lady very very happy @callumbeattieuk absolute legend."
Callum's hit single Salamander Street reached sixth position in the Scottish music charts in 2020 and also appeared in the top 50 of the UK singles downloads chart. His 2022 single Heart Stops Beating also reached the top 100 singles in the UK.
