People are calling for the current Miss Scotland to be stripped of her title after a video emerged of her being turfed out an event.
The footage allegedly shows Lucy Sophia Thomson, 24, being led out of the Edinburgh City 7s rugby event on Saturday 17.
Since then, allegations have surfaced that claim that a worker was assaulted and racially abused whilst working at the competition, the Daily Record reports.

Miss Scotland organisers have since attracted the ire of the public after they announced that entries for the 2023 competition were open on Sunday 18 but failed to comment on the situation surrounding Thomson.
Posting on the organisation’s Facebook page, Lauren Gracie wrote: “Miss Scotland you’re going to need to make a decision on the future of the current title holder and release a statement asap.
“The longer you sit on it, the more you’re looking like you’re condoning this kind of behaviour. Even a statement to say you’re investigating and will update further soon or you’re going to end up losing the licence as Miss World won’t be happy about this.”
She added: “If there is any grain of truth whatsoever to the allegations you cannot be seen to have supported such behaviour.
“If this is true, you will have the backing of the entire pageant community and wider in immediately removing Lucy's crown and sending your first runner up to internationals.
“For your own sake, do not leave any room for misinterpretation that you support this behaviour.”
Mhairi Whitelaw added: “Remove her crown and title or Miss Scotland isn’t going to mean s*** anymore.”
Freya Jane Taylor commented: “What a shame that Miss Scotland feels that their priority is to delete comments from their recent posts and making their Instagram private instead of addressing the allegations against their current titleholder.
“I hope Miss World thoroughly investigates to get to the bottom of this incident and appropriate action is taken. Disgusted by the Miss Scotland organiser’s lack of voice on the matter so far. Should have been acknowledged immediately. So disappointed.”
Lauren Elizabeth added: “If Miss Scotland cared they would put a statement up about these serious allegations."
A video published by the Record on Monday shows a woman, believed to be Thomson, being led off Peffermill Playing Fields in the capital. She can be seen stumbling before being physically lifted up by security staff.
The Record has made repeated attempts to contact businesswoman Thomson, who is from Dunfermline, Fife, but no response has been received. The licence holder for Miss Scotland has also not yet provided a statement.
The Scottish Fashion Association, which was founded by Thomson, confirmed they were aware of an incident on June 17. They added: “We are treating this matter exceptionally seriously, and will provide an update in due course."
The organisers of the Edinburgh City 7s event also did not respond to requests for a comment.
Police have confirmed they are continuing to investigate reports of a disturbance and an alleged hate crime at the Edinburgh City 7s event.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9pm on Saturday, 17 June, 2023, we received a report of a disturbance and a hate crime at Peffermill Road in Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing."
