Calls for Harry Styles video for young Irish superfan with leukaemia as she can't make Slane show

Over 80,000 are set to descend on Slane Castle in Meath on Saturday to see pop icon Harry Styles but, unfortunately, one Tipperary superfan won't be able to make it.

The historic venue is back after an extended break but mega Harry Styles stan Róisín, who has incurable leukaemia, is not able to go to the concert as she isn’t up for attending the show.

However, Róisín isn’t giving up hope that she might get to see the superstar with an appeal being made for anyone who works at Slane to try help the Tipp fan get a video from the former One Direction star turned pop icon.

In a post on Twitter, alongside a video of 12-year-old Róisín performing Watermelon Sugar by the pop star, Oscars Kids Ireland wrote: "Harry Styles is playing Slane tomorrow and as superfan Róisín (who has incurable Leukaemia) isn’t up to attending, a video is what we need!

"We’ve been trying unsuccessfully for weeks so this weekend is our best chance to get his attention or the help of someone working at Slane!"

The video which accompanied the post also had text which said: "12-year-old Róisín from Tipperary has incurable Leukaemia desperately wants a video from Harry Styles! Help us make it happen!"

Many people flocked to the comments to tag Lloyd Wakefield, who is working as the tour photographer for Harry on his current tour. A lot of people also tagged Harry’s mother Anne Twist and his sister Gemma Styles, who is a writer, podcaster and mental health ambassador.

The performer will take to the stage on Saturday night at around 8:30pm and is expected to play hits from his three solo albums as well as some tracks from his time in One Direction. Support on the night is coming from indie rockers Wet Leg and Irish pop-rockers Inhaler as well as Irish DJ Annie Mac, and a solo set from Styles' guitarist Mitch Rowland.
