The family of a "kind" man who died following a crash are calling for people to applaud for him during the Merseyside Derby.
The family of Adam Shiers, 25, are asking for both Liverpool and Everton fans to applaud on 25 minutes in memory of the "kind" man during tonight's Merseyside Derby. Adam, from Kirkby, died after he was involved in a tragic crash on the M57 on Saturday, February 4.
A statement from his family read: "On February 3, 2023, we lost out Adam in a tragic accident. Adam was one of the nicest and kindest people you could ever meet and loved his football, especially Liverpool FC.

"Our aim is to now make as much noise as possible to get the Anfield crowd to take part in a minutes applause on the 25th minute in the game between Liverpool and Everton. Adam was only 25 with his life ahead of him.
"This is a plea asking for as much help as possible to make #ApplauseforAdam happen, let's get this seen on television by his family for them, the most important thing is that we generate enough noise so that the applause takes place for Adam."
There will also be a flag held up during the match in memory of Adam which reads "Our Adam. Forever 25. You'll never walk alone".
