A Scots mum has been left horrified after her motor was trashed by yobs at a train station car park overnight.
Victoria Greenwood, from Edinburgh, left the car at Livingston South train station in West Lothian on Sepxtember 24 as she headed to Glasgow for an overnight stay. However, when she returned the following day she found the family car had been completely destroyed by the thugs.
The incident is believed to have happened at some point during the night and two Vauxhall Corsa's were targeted. Considerable damage was caused to the windows and bodywork on both cars, reports Edinburgh Live.
A picture of Victoria's black Corsa shows all the windows smashed, and the bonnet completely ripped off the car.
Both cars were Vauxhall Corsa's and there have reportedly been other similar incidents targeting the popular car make across West Lothian.
The incidents have been reported to the police and are reportedly being investigated.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live the mum said: "We left the car at Livingston South train station about 2.00pm yesterday as we were staying in Glasgow overnight and returned to it today about 1.30 pm.
"Thats when we noticed the car then noticed the people behind us had had the same thing happen to them.
"There was nothing inside our car or the other car was taken. The other people had contacted the police and we were just waiting for them. They phoned me about half an hour later and took all the details."
Victoria shared the shocking news in a local community group writing: "Just a heads up if you’re planning on leaving your car and in particular a Corsa at Livingston south train station. Mine and another Corsa was targeted last night and the front ends completely removed!
Adding: "It’s clearly an organised thing if it’s happening all over. The police are looking into the cctv so hopefully they’ll get something soon."
The local community have been left horrified by the callous act. Donna Auld said: "Absolutely shocking hope they get caught."
Ella Barker also said: "This is absolutely disgraceful hopefully cameras on site."
While Elaine McGreskin added: "Omg this is awful. Looks like parts stealing to order for f**** sake what next?"
Others had reported that a similar incident had happened to another Corsa in West Lothian the week before. The incidents have been reported to police and Police Scotland have been approached for a comment.
