Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 has just dropped worldwide and brings with it plenty of rewards in the new Battle Pass and some new changes that should shake up the meta.
Season 5 also brings a lot of free content for players to enjoy including a series-first Double Agent mode in multiplayer alongside new and classic Black Ops maps, in addition to new Zombies content, as well as new Perks in Warzone that are set to shift the meta and more.

Battle Pass Changes
Warzone's Season 5 Battle Pass comes with some unique rewards for those willing to grind hard enough for them.
One of the highlights of this Season's Battle Pass is the unique Operator skin for Kitsune that adorns her with a fearsome samurai-style outfit, complete with Japanese motifs as a homage to the Operator's origins.
To unlock the "Goldleaf" Ultra Kitsune skin, players will have to put in a lot of time and work because it's only available at Tier 100 (the max level) of the Battle Pass.
Players can also unlock two of the new weapons introduced in Season 5 for free by advancing their Battle Pass level.
The EM2 Assault Rifle can be unlocked at Tier 15 while the Tec-9 SMG can be unlocked at Tier 31.

Map Changes
Two new Points of Interest (POI) have been added to Warzone's Verdansk map, however, only one has been properly revealed by Raven Software as the other is filled with [REDACTED] information.
The POI we know about right now is the Mobile Broadcast Stations that can be found all over Verdansk.
Their location will differ from match to match so that one single area doesn't become a hotspot for the rewards offered by the stations- while it's not fully clear what the rewards are in the patch notes, they can be earned by stopping the stations from emitting their broadcast.
Further changes have been added to the Gulag map which is based on the classic Black Ops 2 map comprised of a speedball arena.
Gameplay Changes
Loot around the Verdansk map has changed to keep things fresh as is regular for every new season update.
These are the following changes to loot in Warzone:
- New Gulag and in-game lobby loadouts
- The Sentry Gun Killstreak can now be found in Supply Boxes
- The TEC-9 (BOCW) and EM2 (BOCW) have been added to the loot pool
New perks have also been added to the game while the popular cold-blooded perk has been adjusted.
Combat Scout - Slot 3 (Yellow)
- Damaging an enemy briefly highlights and automatically pings them.
Tempered - Slot 2 (Red)
- Armor Plates are reinforced and now absorb 75 damage instead of 50. Only two Armor Plates are needed for an Operator to be considered “fully armored.”
Cold-Blooded - Slot 1 (Blue)- Only changes in Warzone
- Undetectable by AI targeting systems and thermal optics.
- Does not trigger a High Alert warning and negates Combat Scout.
