Call of Duty: How to check If you received the free season 6 Battle Pass

Activision is treating some Call of Duty players to a free season six Battle Pass to convince them to jump back into the year-old game.

The studio is emailing select users free Battle Pass codes that can be claimed in-game, allowing them to unlock the latest rewards without spending a penny.

A Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Battle Pass normally costs 1,100 CoD Points (the game’s virtual currency), which amounts to £8.39.

How to check if you have a free Battle Pass code?

The free Battle Pass code is sent to players who haven’t played the game for a while.

If you're lucky, you’ll find an email from Call of Duty in your inbox with the heading "Free Battle Pass for you!" and what looks like a "Claim now" button waiting inside.

“Use the code below to redeem your Free Battle Pass and drop into Season 6 to play and unlock the newest content,” the email says.

Of course, if you stopped playing Call of Duty long ago, you probably don’t need the freebie. You may even have deleted it to save space on your console considering how bloated the file size has become.

But, even if that’s the case, you could still pass it on to a mate who does enjoy the game.

What’s new in Season 6?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3’s season six just kicked off, marking the final major update for the multiplayer shooter before the transition to Black Ops 6 next month.

With Halloween fast approaching, it’s a blood-drenched affair that riffs on cult slashers, complete with a killer clown-themed restaurant and a Michael Myers operator.

Players will also duke it out in night versions of maps like Vondel and transform into the undead in a new Zombie Royale mode.

This being the last season, you can’t spend the points you rack up from the current Battle Pass on a future Pass. Alas, that may help explain why Activision suddenly decided to offer the free codes.

That, and as soon as you log in you’ll see a massive advert for Black Ops 6, which lands on October 25. Unfortunately, skins, weapons, and tokens acquired in MW3 will not carry over to the new game because Activision has billed it as a fresh start.

It’s worth noting that while the sun is setting on MW3, Warzone will continue to get updates as part of its integration with Black Ops 6.
