When using a mock draft simulator to create an NFL mock draft, everyone has their own favorites that they like to take. A new article from Pro Football Focus highlighted the players that were taken the most in their mock draft simulator.
The top players selected were Pitt defensive tackle Calijah Kancey (14.4%) and Maryland cornerback Deonte Banks (14%).
The Vikings’ defense was abysmal in 2022. They were one of three teams to allow more than 4,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards. Either pick here would satisfy Minnesota fans.
The selection of Banks would make all the sense in the world. He is an excellent press-man corner that would fit seamlessly into the scheme run by Brian Flores.
Kancey is an interesting one. An undersized interior pass rusher, Kancey is really good at penetrating the pocket. He gets washed out consistently in the running game. With the Vikings issues on the defensive line, it does make some sense, but the player is one that’s more intriguing than most.
