California wildfires: 'Lucky' Caitlyn Jenner and girlfriend Sophia Hutchins' home still standing

Caitlyn Jenner has given fans an update on her Malibu home after being forced to evacuate as wildfire raged in California.

Jenner, 69, and her partner 22-year-old Sophia Hutchins told fans they were staying at a safe house over the weekend while fire burned close to their home .

But the couple have now revealed that they are back in their unscathed property, telling fans they consider themselves “very, very lucky”.

Jenner gave a startling glimpse of the scorched Malibu hills as she assured fans the pair and their dogs Baxter and Bertha are safe and sound.

“OK, quick update,” she said on Instagram. “We finally made it back to the house. Sophia is here yay our house made it. It was devastating out here in Malibu. You can see the hills are just totally scorched.

“We're thinking of everyone and praying for everyone, hoping you're all safe with your loved ones. We’re very, very lucky.”

Jenner’s family, including ex-wife Kris and stepdaughter Kim Kardashian, had to evacuate their homes over the weekend.

Kardashian urged people to “come together in trying times” on accepting the People’s Choice Award for best reality show on Sunday night.

She said: “Thank you guys so much, it's been a really rough week. Our hearts are broken because of the shooting as well as the devastating fires that are burning.

"It's amazing to see resilient spirit as well as people risking their lives on the front lines. Our country is stronger when we come together. We must continue to reach out during these trying times.”

In recent days, several celebrities have taken to social media to share sad news with their fans that they have lost their homes in the fires including Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and actor Gerard Butler.
