Recently released information from an arrest warrant sheds light on the heartbreaking final moments of California fire captain, Rebecca Marodi, who was found fatally stabbed in her Ramona home. The incident, which occurred on February 17, has left the community in shock.
According to the arrest warrant filed in San Diego County Superior Court, Marodi's mother made a distress call to 911 around 9 p.m. Deputies arrived promptly, but unfortunately, Marodi was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
Surveillance footage from the couple's residence captured a portion of the attack. The footage shows Marodi being pursued by her wife, Yolanda Marodi, who allegedly carried out the killing. Marodi can be heard pleading for her life, while her wife is seen holding a knife and ordering her back inside the house.
Minutes later, Olejniczak was captured on the front door camera loading pets, luggage, and belongings into a silver SUV before fleeing the scene. Homeland Security records indicate that she crossed into Mexico shortly after the incident.

An acquaintance of Olejniczak shared a text message she received, in which Olejniczak claimed Marodi had lied about leaving her and meeting someone else, leading to a violent altercation.
It was revealed that Olejniczak had a criminal history, having previously served time for voluntary manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of her ex-husband. She remains at large as authorities continue their search.
Cal Fire expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Captain Marodi, who dedicated over 30 years to the organization. Her colleagues and loved ones are mourning her tragic death.
