California Democrat Rep. Josh Harder has declared victory over his Republican opponent, Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln. This win marks a significant shift in the balance of power, with Republicans now holding 218 seats in the House compared to Democrats' 209.
While Republicans will maintain control of the House, there are still eight races that have yet to be decided. Three races in California, as well as one each in Oregon, Ohio, Maine, Alaska, and Iowa, are still awaiting final results.
With Republicans also securing control of the Senate and the White House, President-elect Donald Trump will have a trifecta of power in the upcoming term.
