It’s becoming more and more clear that the Chicago Bears got it right with the number one overall pick as their rookie quarterback has continued to show out from training camp to both preseason games. Caleb Williams has looked every bit the prospect everyone thought he was, and though it is just the preseason, is clearly one of the top young playmaking quarterbacks in the league.
This angle of Caleb Williams’ DIME to Rome Odunze 🤯

A ridiculous circus throw to fellow rookie Rome Odunze was the highlight for Fields. Spinning out of pressure, flipping his hips, and launching a dime down the field to pick up the first down on an off platform throw. There aren’t many quarterbacks who can casually make plays like that, and it looks like we are going to see plenty more of it in the immediate future.
If there was ever any question about if Williams would start the week one regular season opener, those conversations can be put to rest. Williams is clearly the best quarterback on the Bears’ roster and the key to the their offense come the regular season.
