With only just over two weeks left in the 2023 NFL regular season, the 2024 NFL Draft order is being put in cement. And barring some crazy late-year happenings, the Chicago Bears will likely own the No. 1 overall pick (via the Carolina Panthers) for the second straight spring.
That means Chicago will probably have the first crack at drafting Southern California’s Caleb Williams to be Justin Fields’ potential replacement at quarterback.
There might be one tiny issue, though. Williams doesn’t seem to believe that the Bears should make him their signal-caller of the future. (He would be in agreement with D.J. Moore if this was the case.) In fact, based purely on his Twitter activity, the presumed top pick thinks the Bears should draft Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and continue building around Fields instead.

Of course, none of Williams’ Twitter activity will likely have any impact on how the Bears approach their offseason. And just because he liked a tweet doesn’t mean that’s exactly what he thinks Chicago should do. Think about it and how you might approach your own social media activity.
How many things do you like, endorse, or share without even thinking about it? Why would Williams be any different while scrolling through his feed and seeing someone tag him in a tweet? There’s a reason people put “retweets (and likes, to an extent) are not endorsements” in their bios!
Nonetheless, this is an interesting sentiment pushed forward (even if accidentally) by the young USC man who will likely have his name called first this April.
