After nabbing just about every record imaginable, Caitlin Clark has finally been dethroned — at least as far as jersey sales are concerned.
With Caleb Williams going No. 1 overall to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, Fanatics announced his new merch, which is only available for pre-sale, toppled Clark’s record for the most merchandise sold on draft night of any player in any sport.
Granted, the NFL has a much larger audience than the WNBA (for now), and Chicago is a much bigger market than Indianapolis, but it’s stunning nonetheless and goes to show how quickly Bears fans are ready to move on from the Justin Fields era.
Chicago’s No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams broke the Fanatics record for draft night merchandise sales for any draft pick in any sport, beating the previous record set last week by Caitlin Clark.

Much like Clark’s selection by the Fever last week, Williams going No. 1 overall has been a foregone conclusion for months now. All the hype literally paid off last night as fans couldn’t wait to purchase his now-sold out gear.
According to Fanatics, Williams merch is still available for pre-order, but don’t expect to receive it anytime soon:
