The owners behind a hugely popular Edinburgh cake shop and kitchen have announced the opening of a second venue in the city.
The Pastry Section, 'serving the best sweet treats in town', is based at Raeburn Place in Stockbridge, with queues down the street a common sight outside the bakehouse.
Baking everything on site from scratch, the talented team bring locals the likes of brownies, cinnamon buns, lemon meringue tarts, snickerdoodle cookies, coffees, teas and more.

And The Pastry Section took to social media this week to announce they'll soon be a part of the Leith neighbourhood, with work to get underway shortly at 143 Great Junction Street.
They said: "I’m excited to finally announce we are opening our second shop in the heart of Leith.
"The new space will house our open plan production kitchen giving me and the team a much brighter and more spacious work space.
"I’m delighted to be working alongside @splintrdesign once again on this project and we were keen to take many of the design features from Stockbridge into the plans for Leith & it is looking great!
"Works begin towards the end of this week so expect updates along the way… to say I’m excited is an understatement!".
Local residents and businesses have reacted the post to share their delight at the news, with one person describing it as 'a dream come true'.
