Caitlyn Jenner ‘extremely remorseful’ for upsetting ex Kris with comments about relationship

Caitlyn Jenner is said to be “extremely remorseful” after comments she made during a recent TV interview upset ex-wife Kris Jenner.

The former Olympian, 73, and Kris, 67, tied the knot in 1991 after five months of dating and were married for 22 years, during which time they welcomed daughters Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26, together.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning on Wednesday to promote new three-part Sky docu-series House of Kardashian, Caitlyn was asked about the current state of her relationship with Kris, to which she replied that they “really never talk” anymore.

She went on to call the situation “sad”.

Her words have apparently not gone down well and according to TMZ, Caitlyn is said to be “willing to do whatever it takes to mend the family divide”.

Compounding the hostility within the family, the source said, was that they were “not on board” with Caitlyn’s paid participation in House of Kardashian.

Caitlyn took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday to defend her motives in appearing in the show.

“I did House of Kardashian to defend my family and I speak extremely highly of my kids and Kris — the mastermind behind it all — who I spent 22 beautiful years with,” she wrote.

Addressing the remarks she had made on This Morning, she clarified that what she had meant to say in the interview was that she “didn’t speak with [Kris] in the context of this project”, claiming that they are in touch with one another sporadically.

“To be clear — I am thrilled that Kris Jenner and I are able to talk and co-parent and see each other here and there,” Caitlyn said. “We spent 22 amazing years together.”

Sources told TMZ on Thursday that Caitlyn, who has not been seen on the family’s current Hulu series The Kardashians, feels like she should be able to work on whatever she chooses to without having a “gag order” when it comes to family matters.

The insiders added that Caitlyn was “just speaking the truth about how things are” in her relationship with her ex-wife in the interview, but regrets airing them publicly.
