Bosses behind the world’s top gig have forked out an Adele of a lot of cash to make sure it goes ahead.
Caesars Palace in Las Vegas has installed a £400,000 backstage “bubble” to protect the megastar’s voice.
It was feared Adele’s vocal cords could be affected by the hot and humid desert environment during her residency.
So boffins have put a hi-tech system in place at the Sin City venue’s Colosseum theatre ahead of Friday’s highly anticipated opening night.
My US source tells me: “They’ve had complex systems installed before, but this one really is on another level.
“The system works by combining dehumidifiers, purification units, water molecule dispersal and cooling fans in the preparation room and then guiding that air around the stage when she performs.
“Adele is getting the best possible air to protect her voice.”
In 2011, the singer needed surgery after haemorrhages in her vocal cords.
Adele – thought to be earning £500,000 for each Vegas gig – previously cancelled her residency in January after announcing her show was “not ready” just hours before she was due to go on stage.
But bosses are determined this second attempt is going to run smoothly. I bet they’ll all be holding their breath…
