It's finally here. The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq that folks can buy and drive will have its official video debut on October 17. You can watch the special livestream event right here at Motor1.com beginning at 8:00 PM PDT / 11:00 PM EDT. A video stream will be added at the top of the article as soon as it's available.
The Celestiq has been years in the making. That can be said about every new vehicle launched by an automaker, but it's rare for such things to be public knowledge for that long. It was March 4, 2020, when we first heard Celestiq mentioned by Cadillac, and true to the company's word, it is a grand flagship. We were privy to a sneak preview back then, and to give you some context as to just how long this process has taken, Cadillac told us the Celestiq was designed before the Lyriq. To refresh your memory, that electric crossover debuted in April 2021 – over a year ago. Now, we're finally getting around to the grandiose sedan.

To Cadillac's credit, they didn't go bonkers with Celestiq teasers. The first one landed in early 2021, and yet another year would pass before more teasers arrived in June 2022. That was a lead-up not the production version, however, but the concept that finally had its unveiling in July 2022.
Now that you're up-to-speed on the Celestiq, what can we expect from the production model? We already know the concept is pretty darned close in virtually all areas, because Cadillac said as much. That includes the massive digital screen that encompasses the entire dash, the 2 + 2 seating arrangement with screens for the rear seat passengers, the trick glass roof that can lighten or darken in zones to suit the desires of specific occupants, and more. We know the styling is spot on, because spy photos of preproduction models leave little to the imagination. All that's left now is to make it official.
Stay tuned to Motor1.com to see the Celestiq on video, and to learn all about it in our debut post.
