Cadbury World searching for 'chocolate demonstrator' with 'passion' for sugary treat

Cadbury World is searching for a chocolate demonstrator as part of a recruitment drive for a string of new jobs.

Chocolate experts and recruiters are looking to fill a range of roles at the iconic Birmingham attraction as it gears up for the busy summer period.

More than 500,000 chocolate lovers visit its much loved home in Bournville every year, reports Birmingham Live.

The lucky employee will have a "passion for chocolate" and be required to provide interactive demonstrations to visitors.

They will also meet and greet customers at Cadbury World as well as promoting and selling treats made in the production area.

Cadbury said the role is a fixed term part-time contract until December.

The ideal candidate will be confident with presenting, demonstrating and public speaking.

It adds: "You will act as the first point of contact for all visitor enquires and serve as ambassador for the business with a good level of knowledge in all areas of the attraction, taking the opportunities to up-sell products and services.

"You will deliver information to visitors through presentations and demonstrations, and offer and provide visitors with accurate advice, guidance and information about the attraction. You will have excellent social interaction and communication skills and experience working with members of the public."

Cadbury is owned by Mondelez International, originally Kraft Foods.

Several job openings are now open at Cadbury World which run between June and August.

These include a front of house part-time position where the chosen candidate will meet and greet guests and clients and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable visit.

They will also give presentations and demonstrations to visitors and offer advice, guidance and information about the site.

Cadbury is also looking to full a full time role as a packaging technologist, which involves helping with packaging design and deployment.

The Birmingham based role also includes some travel, depending on business needs for the area.

Another available full time role comes in the form of a production planner, who will build finished goods and raw material plans.

The successful candidate will work closely with key Cadbury suppliers and business partners in this "critical role" within the Bournville planning team.

Engineers also have the chance to apply for a full time position with Cadbury, where they will be required to design and implement projects and oversee marketing and manufacturing tasks.

A fifth opportunity is also available as a supply planner in a full time position.

The job involves production planning and coming up with short and long term supply chain plans for goods made at Cadbury World and elsewhere.
