Cadbury fans gobsmacked as discontinued chocolate makes a return for £1.99 a bar

It's always disheartening when you find a treat you really enjoy and the company that makes it decides to discontinue it, leaving you to wish for the day that they bring it back - even if it's only for a limited time. But that day has finally come for fans of a unique bar of Cadbury chocolate, as it's back on UK shelves again a whopping 20 years after it disappeared.

Brits were robbed of Cadbury Dream bars in 2002 when they were taken off the shelves and removed from boxes of Heroes, but they have now made a comeback - although they're only available in one retailer, Leicestershire Live reports.

If you want to get your hands on the delicious bars of white chocolate, you'll have to make a trip to B&M, where they are sold for £1.99 each.

It turns out that Cadbury did not discontinue the Dream bars in Australia or South Africa, so B&M have started to import the bars as part of their Cadbury Australia Chocolate promotions, which also sees them stock Cadbury Dairy Milk Top Deck, Crispy Mint Creme, and Moro Bars and two Cadbury Old Gold Bar flavours - Roast Almond and Peppermint.

The company also sells Cadbury Caramilk Bars and Cadbury Twirl Caramilk Bars, as well as Australian Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish Delight Bars.

The discovery of the Dream bar's return to the UK was posted on Facebook in a group called Food Finds UK, where one Cadbury fan posted a picture of the iconic blue packaging alongside the caption: "B&M £1.99."

While you might not be able to buy a Dream bar at every supermarket, Cadbury are always coming up with new flavours to stick on the shelves, and their most recent release was two mystery bars - where you had to try and guess the flavour yourself.

Last month, Mirror journalists Zoe Forsey, Kyle O'Sullivan, and Courtney Pochin tried the bars for themselves and found that guessing the flavours was trickier than they had expected, with an argument breaking out over one of the bars.

The flavours are being kept top secret by Cadbury until October, so you can still head to the shops to pick up the bars for yourself to see if you can guess what they taste of.
