Cadbury axes some much-loved chocolate flavours but three favourites make a return

Everyone has their favourite chocolate and when news comes that yours is getting axed it can be pretty tough.

The iconic box of Roses is getting a shake-up and while some flavours are being removed some iconic flavours getting a comeback.

Confectionery company Cadbury are mixing things up as a result of some customer feedback, with the brand thinking it was best to replace the "hard" choccies with "soft centre" flavours.

Some of the iconic flavours being axed include the Peppermint Crème Crunch, Hazelnut Crème Crisp and White Raspberry and Dark Mocha Nougat.

While some of the treats being brought back are the Orange Crème, Strawberry Crème, Peppermint Crème and Passionfruit Delight.

Chocolate lovers have been keen to try out the new additions to the much-loved tin of roses since the news was announced, but they will have to wait until mid-July to much into them.

If you are curious about what the new additions taste like, the Passionfruit Delight comprises of dark chocolate and comes complete with a soft passionfruit-flavoured centre.

News of the new additions came out on Friday, just as the brand celebrated World Chocolate Day.

Cadbury Senior Marketing Manager Gifting and Seasonal, Kathy De Lullo, said she is really looking forward to launching the new Cadbury Roses box.

She said: "We know that the timelessness of the classic Cadbury Roses is something that is revered by all and that everyone has a nostalgic story to tell when it comes to gifting these treats to family and friends.

"Through this new mix, it is so special to be able to honour the iconic soft centres and flavours like Strawberry Crème and Peppermint Crème loved by so many Roses fans, as well as to create and deliver a new flavour experience through soft-centred Passionfruit Delight."
