Cadbury announce new white chocolate range to be sold exclusively at Asda

When you think of Cadbury, you probably think of Dairy Milk, as milk chocolate is what the company has always specialised in.

But that's all about to change.

Fans of their discontinued Dream bar will be thrilled to hear that Cadbury are launching a trio of new white chocolate goodies very soon.

Some of your favourite treats will be getting remade in creamy white chocolate - but there's just one catch.

You'll only be able to buy the items in one supermarket chain.

There are three new items - including a white chocolate block (Cadbury / ASDA)

Cadbury's white chocolate range will be available exclusively in Asda stores nationwide at the end of this month, on August 29.

And once those items hit the shelves, it's thought that they'll be staying there indefinitely!

So what can you expect to find in the shopping aisles?

Well, there's going to be three new products, including white giant buttons, a white chocolate block and white Freddo treasures.

Giant white buttons are heading to Asda (Cadbury / ASDA)
You'll also be able to get white Freddo Treasures (Cadbury / ASDA)

And the good news is that none of these will break the bank.

The Freddo treasures will only set you back 65p, while the bag of buttons and chocolate bars are both set to cost £1 each.

Cadbury fans on social media are thrilled by the news.

One person said: "GUYS. Cadbury are releasing white chocolate again!"

Another added: "Yesssss."

A third proclaimed: "OMG!"

This move follows the recent launch of white chocolate Coco Pops by Kelloggs.

The cereal giants said that the new creation is all thanks to fans on social media and pleas to the brand's customer phone line, which have both witnessed huge demand to create a white chocolate Coco Pops.

Katy Bailey, brand manager for Kellogg’s Coco Pops said: “In response to our fans, and the growing desire for white chocolate varieties of popular foods, we wanted to see if it was possible to create a white chocolate Coco Pops that tastes as good as the original.

“Our food developers have succeeded and for the first time in the cereal’s 59 year history a white chocolate version will hit the shops.”

The white chocolate-flavoured cereal is available in all major supermarkets, including the likes of  Tesco  and  Asda  with an RRP of £2.99 - the  same price  as normal Coco Pops.
