While training camp isn’t for another three weeks, it’s always go-time for Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Stroud, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, has been mixing in reps with relaxation over his worldwide tour this offseason. He worked out at two NFL youth camps while visiting China and Japan as part of an Aisa tour with Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
Last month, Stroud worked out while in Morocco with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields and in Paris with Pro Bowl target Stefon Diggs during fashion week.
During the latest stop in Miami, Stroud met up with several Texans receivers to work out inside the University of Miami’s football complex. Alongside the second-year gunslinger were Diggs, tight ends Dalton Schultz, Cade Stover and Brevin Jordan, and receivers Tank Dell, Robert Woods and Nico Collins, along with several others.
The players then went out to dinner according to Woods’ Instagram for “receiver bonding time.”

Stroud, who last season became the youngest quarterback in league history to win a playoff game, said the team would be balanced despite the addition of Diggs. No one receiver would be the main threat, leaving the rest to fend for targets amongst the numbers.
A two-time Heisman finalist at Ohio State, Stroud compared his newfound receiving corps similar to the one in Columbus. With plenty of talent means ample reps, and everyone knows it is their job to find creases in the weakness.
“Healthy competition is the best way to grow and get better. And I think that’s what it’s about,” Stroud said earlier this offseason. “You see how excited Diggs gets for Tank when he makes a play, and (John) Metchie gets excited for when Nico makes a play, and Tank gets excited when Rob makes a play.”
The Texans return to NRG Stadium for training camp on July 18.
