Byron Murphy Jr. and the Minnesota Vikings defense destroyed the Falcons offense on Sunday. They held Kirk Cousins to his fourth straight game without a passing touchdown and intercepted him twice.
After the game, the veteran cornerback was fired up when talking with the media about this Vikings team.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media caught up with Byron Murphy Jr. after the game and asked him about what it is like being in a division where despite being 11-2, everyone is talking about the Lions.
“Y’all need to start talking about us, we tired of the Detroit talk. We are going to get to that game eventually, but right now, it is all about focusing on us every single Sunday. Talk about the Vikings because we are on one right now.”
These teams won’t meet again until Week 18 when they could be playing for the NFC North. A lot to play out between these two from a distance over the last four weeks of the season.
