People have shared their excitement about Jet2's arrival at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The airline will begin operating flights from Liverpool in March 2024, with 20 destinations on offer. Seven of the destinations are new routes for the airport, expanding the choice for passengers.
Jet2 will operate up to 54 weekly flights from the airport next summer, with 565,000 seats on sale for the season. The airline's arrival at Liverpool will also mean customers will not have to travel to Manchester Airport to fly to some of its destinations.

John Lennon Airport is Jet2's 11th base in the UK. It will base four planes in Speke, offering a wide range of destinations across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Portugal, Madeira and Cyprus.
Many ECHO readers have shared their delight at the news of Jet2's impending arrival.
Sue Maloney said: "Fab news, love Jet2 and love Liverpool Airport." Dianne Haynes added: "Bye bye Manchester".
Jet2 has operated at terminals one and two at Manchester for some time, offering a wide range of destinations. Though Liverpool's first summer with the airline won't offer the breadth of routes that it has at Manchester, Scousers won't necessarily have to travel down the M62 before they jet off with the airline.
On Facebook, Pauline Brown said: "Absolutely brilliant, we normally fly from Manchester, can be a nightmare, but for Jet2 to be flying to Dalaman in Turkey is fantastic news, we will definitely fly from Liverpool next year as we get the ferry from the Isle of Man, it will work out so much cheaper for us."
Julie Swift said: "Wonderful news!! At last!! Wouldn't book with anyone else. Jet2 are fab". Rose Payne added: "Fantastic news! Love Liverpool Airport".
Jet2's flights and holidays from Liverpool for summer 2024 are on sale now. The winter 2024 schedule will be released next week.
