Edinburgh drivers fighting for their lives following horror smash on busy road

Two men have been rushed to hospital following a horror smash on the outskirts of Edinburgh, with the road being closed for 11 hours.

Police informed motorists via social media early on Monday morning, August 15, that the A71 at the Dalmahoy junction was closed due to a serious two-car smash, with vehicles being diverted until further notice.

Both Edinburgh Police and Road Policing Scotland posted an update on their social media pages, saying that access to the Dalmahoy Hotel is still being granted, however only from the Edinburgh side of the closure.
