Busted star James Bourne reflected on the future of the band as he looked forward to their comeback tour which may be the trio's last.
Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James confirmed they are reuniting for a 15-show tour and a new album.
In an exclusive interview with Mirror, James looked to the future as he questioned the possibility that he and his bandmates would be able to do a similar tour again.
He said: "The scary thing is what we will have to look at quite seriously is that in 20 years from now, there's no guarantee that we will all still be alive. There's no guarantee and that is really scary because we don't take fans for granted."
"I actually can't believe how many of my friends have died already, I'm quite shocked and we get to celebrate our 20th anniversary," he continued.
"We're lucky that we're in a position to do it and we're lucky that we're healthy to do it. That's the reason to come because there's no guarantee that we'll do anything like this again you never know what's around the corner.
"I just think that this is a chance for us to really give it our best shot like we always would do."
Starting in September this year, Busted are setting off on a reunion tour around the UK and will be joined by special guests Hanson, The Tyne and New Hope Club.
Charlie, Matt and James will also be releasing reworks of their classic tracks featuring special guests including Simple Plan, All Time Low and McFly.
The first track to launch the 20th-anniversary celebrations will be a new version of Busted’s song Loser Kid featuring Simple Plan, which will be released on April 14th.
Fans don't need to wait a long time as tickets for the tour are going on sale at 9am on March 31.
The announcement has left Busted fans thrilled as one tweeted: "The @Busted greatest hits 20-year anniversary tour is going to hit so HARD! #Busted20," while another wrote: "Never missed a @busted tour, won’t be missing this one."
