A mother who was behind the wheel of a bus that mounted the kerb, killing a teenage boy outside a Sydney school has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death.
Penina Lopesi was arrested in February after the fatal accident near Macarthur Anglican School in south western Cobbitty.
The 14-year-old boy was taken to Liverpool Hospital in critical condition and died a short time afterwards.
On the day of the incident, Lopesi was taken to Liverpool Police Station for mandatory testing and later charged. Her licence was also suspended.
Macarthur Anglican School headmaster Dr David Nockles said at the time that the vehicle had lost control as it exited the bus bay, mounted the kerb and struck the boy who was in Year 9.
Last week the 55-year-old bus driver pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.
She will be sentenced in Campbelltown District Court.
The Denham Court woman also faces one back-up charge of negligent driving occasioning death and a related charge of failing to provide her particulars to police.
On bail under the condition she refrain from driving, Lopesi will be back in court for a pre-sentence mention on December 14.
