Every year Scotland celebrates Burns Night - the birthday of one of the nation's greatest poets, Robert Burns. On January 25 and the surrounding dates, many events will be taking place, honouring Scots heritage, tradition and legacy. Inspired by Burns: Family activity day
Palace of Holyroodhouse hosts a fun miniature book and a little poetry workshop for the whole family to enjoy. After seeing miniature books by Robert Burns in the Royal Collection, you get the chance to create one yourself.
This event is a fun and interactive way to introduce your little ones to the nation's heritage and the works of the Scots famous poet.

An Edinburgh Burns Night experience
Popular Royal Mile attraction The Real Mary King's Close and Amber Restaurant present a unique experience filled with poetry, history, Scotch whisky and delightful dishes.
As a part of this special event, guests will be treated to a themed Real Mary King's Close tour and raise a glass to Scotland's most known bard. For those wishing to get the full experience, a three-course dinner is available at the Amber Restaurant. Throughout the event, you'll be hearing Burns poems to boost the spirit of the night.

The Ghosting of Rabbie Burns
The hit-comedy by Gillian Duffy promises a unique twist to the favourite poems by Robert Burns. Telling a story of a heartbroken author Emily Winters, the performance will show how, despite centuries that have passed since the life of Burns, we can still learn a lot from his works.
During the show, you'll hear some of Burns's great songs and poems, such as 'My Love is Like a Red Red Rose', 'Ae Fond Kiss', 'Charlie is my Darlin' and, of course, 'Auld Lang Syne'.

Burns Big Night In with Edith Bowman
Packed with live music, songs, expert insider talks and even a cocktail masterclass from the Scots whiskey producer The Glenlivet, the night will be hosted by Edith Bowman, a TV and Radio presenter with over 20 years of experience.
Streaming live from Burns Cottage, the National Trust for Scotland's annual event will allow you to enjoy the fully-packed programme from the comfort of your home.
Throughout the evening, you'll hear from such talented artists as the award-winning poet Janette Ayachi, musician Laurie Cameron, singer and songwriter Siobhan Miller and more.
