Burnley vs Liverpool prediction and odds: Diogo Jota backed to find the net again after Leicester display

Liverpool will be looking to keep the Premier League title race alive when they visit Turf Moor when they play bottom-of-the-table Burnley.

The Reds are 3/10 favourites with Grosvenor Sport while Burnley are 19/2 and a draw is 23/5.

Jurgen Klopp's side saw off Leicester City on Thursday thanks to a Diogo Jota double to keep the gap with Manchester City at the top to just nine points as we approach the business end of the season.

The German will be pleased to welcome back both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane after their exploits in the African Cup of Nation plus new signing Luis Diaz seems to have settled to Premier League life rather quickly too.

However, Burnley showed they have plenty of fight in them when they welcomed Manchester United to their home ground midweek and got a well-earned draw out of it too.

Sena Dyche's side will be looking to improve their home form as they look to survive this season's relegation fight.

Acca tips

  • Both sides in matches involving Liverpool scored 10 times in 23 league matches while for Burnley it is 11 in 20 - both teams to score is 26/25
  • Matches involving Liverpool finished with three or more goals 17 times this season while for Burnley it happened eight times - over 2.5 goals is 8/13
  • Liverpool average 10.52 total corners and 10.09 at home while Burnley average 11.15 total corners and 11.64 away from home - over 10.5 total corners is 10/11

Player to watch

It would be easy to go for Mo Salah now that the Egyptian is back from the African Cup of Nations but given Diogo Jota's performance, who I called to score earlier this week, it seems silly not to.

His brace against Leicester was enough to keep the gap at the top to nine points and enough to convince Klopp to start him this weekend at the very least.

H2H

This will be the 110th meeting between the two sides with Liverpool picking up 49 wins, 26 draws and 34 defeats.
