Burnley 'set to scout' Ryan Kent amid Rangers free transfer exit possibility

Premier League new boys Burnley are reportedly plotting a scouting mission to watch Ryan Kent.

Vincent Kompany's Championship leaders - who have secured automatic promotion -have been linked with a swoop for Kent with a free transfer exit from Rangers in the summer a possibility.

Kent, 26, is entering the final months of his contract and is free to discuss a move in the summer.

Burnley will reportedly run the rule over Kent in the coming weeks with The Scottish Sun claiming scouts will head north to watch the winger in the coming weeks.

Kent didn't feature in the 2-0 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie and wasn't involved against St Mirren last weekend through injury.

However, he will return to the Rangers side to face Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden on April 30.

Quizzed on Kent's situation with Burnley reportedly interested suitors, Beale said: "I think they're under an embargo at the moment, so I don’t know whether that's going to be lifted or not.

"I don't know anything about that but me and Ryan see each other every day. We're fine with where we’re at at the moment.

"There's no news on Ryan's future and when there is, I'm sure it will be announced officially.

"There's going to be a lot of rumours because he's a player out of contract and he's a good player."

Pressed on whether he could persuade the player to sign a new deal at Ibrox, Beale added: "It's not a matter of persuading, it's a matter of having a conversation and making sure we're on the same page, so it's not a matter of persuading."
