Burger King has confirmed its restaurant on Lord Street in Liverpool city centre will reopen.
The site closed suddenly back in December 2018 for “maintenance” but two months later a warning sign appeared in the window that read: “Danger asbestos removal in progress." The restaurant has remained closed since. However, the burger chain has now confirmed the site will reopen with a whole new look - and it’s sooner than you’d expect.

Burger King told the ECHO the Lord Street restaurant will open tomorrow, July 19. The venue will return with a brand new look, including updated signage and a full refurbishment inside.
Work on the site started several months ago, with boarded signs surrounding the storefront. The boards have now been removed to reveal the sleek new look.
The newly refurbished venue features silver signage outside, as well as new seating areas inside which have wooden countertops and colourful stools. There’s now also a ‘collect’ station where customers can pick up their food after placing their order.
Burger King has not yet shared the restaurant’s new opening times, but you can keep up to date here. The site is based at 91-95 Lord Street, Liverpool, L2 6PG.
