Burger King is set to make some big changes to their menu next week, bringing in two brand new items including an exciting addition to their Gourmet Kings range.
The Gourmet Kings Farmhouse burger is a twist on their iconic flame-grilled burger, made with a 100% British and Irish Aberdeen Angus beef patty, topped with melted oak smoked cheddar cheese and four slices of crispy bacon.
The burger is then garnished with sliced pink pickled onion, fresh rocket and a swirl of toasted onion sauce.
Priced at £7.99 for the burger on its own or £9.99 as a meal, the new addition will be available in Burger King restaurants nationwide from Tuesday, July 26 and looks to be one of the more expensive burgers on the current menu, alongside the Argentinian Angus and Steakhouse Angus which cost £8.49 each and the Cheesy Bacon Double (£8.79).
Also new on the menu are loaded fries, topped with cheese (£3.29) or cheese and bacon (£3.99).
We headed down to Burger King's Leicester Square branch to give the new items a go ahead of the launch and we were pretty impressed.

I'll be honest and admit I've never been a massive fan of Burger King, but these new menu items have got me reconsidering.
As I headed into the Leicester Square restaurant, staff explained how the new burger was intended to offer customers a gourmet experience, even if they can't afford to eat at luxury restaurants.
And while 'gourmet' is perhaps not the word I'd use to describe this burger, I'd say it was definitely a step up from your average Whopper.
The beef patty is a more generous size than some of the cardboard-thin patties we've become used to from other fast-food chains and it has that iconic flame-grilled taste.
The flavour is deepened by the woody oak smoked cheese, which makes for a nice change from the usual American type you get on burgers, while the pink pickled onions not only add a vivid pop of colour but also round the taste off nicely.
My only complaint was that my burger had far too much onion sauce on it, oozing out all over the sides and making a mess - but thankfully this was more like a creamy onion mayo, so the taste wasn't too overpowering.
As for the loaded fries - these were a big hit and I'm sure they'd make the perfect hangover food.
There's just so much cheese.
It's a very artificial American-style cheese sauce, but it's addictive. Initially, I thought I'd struggle to polish off the lot, but it went down pretty quickly.
So that's our verdict on the new menu items - will you be giving them a go?
If you're keen to try them ahead of nationwide release at participating restaurants on the 26th, Burger King fans can get a sneaky preview of the new burger if they order this weekend via the app.
From Saturday 23 July until Monday 25 July, users will be able to purchase a Gourmet Farmhouse with a tasty offer of free regular fries and drink to go with it – meaning app users can reap multiple rewards.
