Burger King has revived its plans to try and open a new restaurant at a Swansea retail park.
The fast-food chain had its initial bid knocked back by Swansea Council's planning department in July 2021 for a drive-thru restaurant at Fforestfach Retail Park, because large retaining walls would be needed and areas of landscaping lost.

It is not the only place in Swansea where the fast-food giant has been refused permission to open. We reported in January how planners also blocked a move for the business to open up at Parc Tawe Retail Park.
But now a new bid has been lodged in the hopes it will this time be successful in Fforestfach.
Planning documents submitted by Avison Young on behalf of the applicant, UK Retail Warehouse Fund, read: "The proposals constitute an important opportunity to redevelop a small portion of the retail park to improve its efficiency and the overall shopping experience.
"The scheme will not result in any detrimental harm to the visual amenity of the area, nor will it cause detriment to the vitality or viability of nearby centres. Indeed, the proposals will generate significant benefits, not only in terms of regenerating a prominent portion of the retail park that includes long-standing vacant units, but also by generating employment opportunities directly within the restaurant."
The proposals ask for permission for the demolition of the unit which once occupied Carphone Warehouse, and partial demolition of two other units, which had been the home of Greggs and o2.
The restaurant would provide space for 30 covers, and create 25 new full-time jobs if approved. It would be open from 10am until 11pm seven days a week.
Swansea Council's planning department will now consider the plans.
