Lucknow: A large scale administrative reshuffle is in the offing in UP ahead of Maha Kumbh. The government is also going to shift the District Magistrates of many districts and promote several IAS.
More than three dozen IAS officers will be made Special Secretaries. The government is preparing the list of transfers of IAS officers, which includes many names.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the District Magistrates who are to be shifted include those of Lucknow, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Mathura and Kanpur. The District Magistrates of all these five districts have been made Secretaries. Besides, 35 other officers have also been promoted from Special Secretary to Secretary.

According to sources, apart from several DMs, many Divisional Commissioners are also likely to be shifted as many of them have already been promoted.
The Government has promoted many IAS officers of 2000 batch. Among the IAS who have been promoted to the post of Principal Secretary include Saurabh Babu, Deepak Agarwal, Amit Gupta, Maneesh Chauhan, Ranjan Kumar, Anurag Yadav and Ranvir Prasad.
At the same time, 40 IAS officers of 2009 batch have also been made secretaries. These include Surya Pal Gangwar, S Rajalingam, Shailendra Kumar Singh, Rakesh Kumar Singh-II and Indra Vikram Singh. These officers were till now posted as District Magistrates in different districts. Now all of them will be given new postings.
