Bureaucracy: Ex-DGP Iqbal Preet Singh likely to contest LS poll on BJP ticket from Hoshiarpur

Former DGP Sahota may enter politics

New Delhi: Former Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) triggering a buzz in high political circles. 

Sahota is a 1988-batch IPS officer who had retired in September 2022. 

If some top political insiders are to be believed, former DGP may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Hoshiarpur reserved seat on a BJP ticket. (with Agency inputs)
