Bungling Nadine Dorries was forced to quickly delete a Tweet where she congratulated fellow minister Nadhim Zahawi for the wrong job in the emergency cabinet reshuffle.
The Culture Secretary who is known for a gaffe recalled the epic fail in seconds, but not before several Twitter users managed to grab a screenshot.
The Prime Minister was forced to make an emergency reshuffle after Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid gave him their resignations yesterday (July 5), following Johnson's handling of the Chris Pincher scandal.
The shock double walkout left him with no Health Secretary or Chancellor, and drafted in former Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi to take up the latter position.
But as she tried to distract from the chaos with her congratulatory treat, Nadine Dorries prompted only more laughter at the Tory party when she congratulated Zahawi for becoming Health Secretary.

She wrote on Twitter: "He arrived in the U.K. a refugee who couldn't speak English who knows nothing but to achieve against the odds. He will deliver for health in the same way he delivered for vaccines and education. A top cabinet minister. Congratulations my friend."
Many jumped on the 65-year-old Culture Secretary highlighting her error.
One wrote: "Nadine Dorries posted and quickly deleted this. Guess she doesn’t want Priti Patel deporting Nadhim Zahawi to Rwanda if she finds out…."
Another said: "Maybe feels a bit mean to retweet the screenshot seeing as she instantly deleted it, but...Nadine Dorries has just congratulated Nadhim Zahawi on the wrong job."
A third joked: "Nadine Dorries just congratulated Nadhim Zahawi on representing Englandshire in the next Olympic Eurovision dance competition."
It's not the first time that Nadine Dorries has fallen foul of one of her own gaffes.
She came under fire in November 2021 when she wrongly claimed that Channel 4 was "in receipt of public funds" during a select committee.
She left BBC news viewers in stitches in February when she was left completely confused by a simple question about whether she had spoken to the Prime Minister in the last 24 hours.
Her bizarre interview-response technique reared its head again when Channel 4 quizzed her on the Prime Ministers false allegations about Keir Starmer failing to prosecute paedophile, Jimmy Saville.
Dorries defended the Prime Minister by claiming it "wasn't the case" that he had misled the house with the factually untrue claims.
But despite his blundering ministers, all eyes are firmly on the Prime Minister who is now trying to hold together a crumbling cabinet.
Boris Johnson had survived a vote of no confidence in June but was warned he faced mounting pressure on his cabinet to abandon him.
Following the claims last month, that Conservative MP Chris Pincher had drunkenly groped two men, the PM was dealt another blow on Tuesday morning when it transpired he was aware of allegations against Pincher in 2019 but ignored them.
It was the final straw for Sunak and Javid who wrote to Johnson with their resignations later that day.
