The curtain is set to rise on the biggest community boxing show in Northern Ireland.
After eight weeks of hard training 20 boxers are set to got toe-to-toe at Inver Park on Saturday night for Larne Golden Gloves’ annual White Collar Boxing Show.
It will be the first time a boxing event has been held at a football stadium in Northern Ireland since Carl Frampton defeated Luke Jackson in a professional bout at a sold-out Windsor Park in 2018.

Over 1,500 spectators are expected at the home of Larne FC for a night of boxing raising funds for the Big C Foundation NI.
Chris Ireland of Larne Golden Gloves is thrilled to see the event grow from strength to strength each year with the club expecting to beat their attendance record once again on Saturday evening.
“As soon as the discussions started around hosting our white collar event at Inver Park, everyone at Larne Golden Gloves was excited and keen to make it happen this summer," he said.
“Last year, we had a record crowd which resulted in a sell-out, and we could easily have sold several hundred more tickets due to the high demand.
"We are hoping for something similar. Our white collar event always gets an unbelievable turnout. It seems to be an event the community really gets behind. For which as a club we are very grateful.
"With this year’s event being held at Inver Park, we will have the town’s largest venue in terms of capacity and expect to break our record once again.
"For us as a club it’s a milestone of how far our charity boxing event has came. From a couple hundred in a social club to a massive event at Inver Park.
"Preparations have been going well and show time is almost here. Twenty boxers will be taking part and they have been training for the last eight weeks.
"Everyone has been fantastic and is we have edged closer to fight night the intensity has gone up."
The event will be headlined by a mega fight between Luke Burford and Jack Dick. The two experienced white collar fighters match up in a highly anticipated clash of styles which ensures fireworks to close the show.
The 1889 Sports & Social Club will be open pre-event from 5pm on Saturday night. Larne Golden Gloves’ will warm-up the show with a selection of amateur fights at 6pm, with the white collar show beginning at 7pm.
“Inver Park is much more than a traditional football venue for the people of Larne and we are blessed to be able to share these facilities with a number of local sports clubs on a regular basis," said Larne FC General Manager Niall Curneen.
“This year’s White Collar Boxing event has brought about a new relationship with Larne Golden Gloves and we are really excited to put on a great show for our community in June in partnership with their committee.
“We expect a large crowd to attend the event itself, and our staff are looking forward to welcoming everyone into our facilities for something slightly different this summer!”
Limited tickets remain available and can be purchased at www.larnefc.com/tickets, costing £15 per person.
