The NBA trade deadline is getting closer and closer, and the Chicago Bulls are widely expected to be one of the most active teams in the league. Despite the front office’s constant desire to push forward with the current core, it’s never been more clear that the organization needs to shake up the roster.
Zach LaVine has headlined trade rumors for the better part of two months, and it seems as though a move away from the Bulls could be imminent. One of the teams that has constantly come up in rumors for a potential LaVine deal is the Los Angeles Lakers.
During an appearance on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” The Athletic’s Shams Charania noted that LaVine is one of two names to “keep an eye on” for a potential Lakers trade, with the other being Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray.
“They’re going to look at the market, for sure,” Charania said of the Lakers. “They’re going to do their due diligence. Again, two names to keep an eye on, Zach LaVine and Dejounte Murray.”

After missing over a month of action, LaVine just returned to the court this past Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. As he works his way back into form, it will also act as a chance for him (and the Bulls) to rebuild his trade value.
Meanwhile, Murray has put together a solid season in Atlanta, but it’s becoming clear that the backcourt duo of him and Trae Young isn’t a fit that will gett the Hawks to where they want to be.
