As trade rumors have swirled around Bulls star Zach LaVine, the two-time All Star set the record straight and re-affirmed his commitment to the team while talking to reporters Thursday.
“Am I still a part of this team and very committed? Yeah, I got a Bulls jersey on. I’m committed here, and for as long as I’ll be here I’ll still love and support Chicago, and go out out there and play my heart out for those guys,” LaVine said. “That’s never gonna change.”
On Friday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that “there is not a market for Zach LaVine” when discussing possible trade scenarios but added it’s not because Chicago hasn’t tried to find a deal.

LaVine, 28, is also dealing with a foot injury and addressed speculation that he wasn’t playing because of an impending trade. He told reporters that he will be out three to four weeks and the lateral side of his foot is “pretty inflamed,” per the Chicago Tribune’s Julie Poe.

In his 18 games played this season, LaVine is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
