This past season was a disappointment for the Chicago Bulls. After making the playoffs for the first time in four years in 2021-22, they missed out in 2022-23, getting eliminated in the Play-In Tournament by the eventual Eastern Conference champions, the Miami Heat. Now, they’ll have to bank on a mix of external and internal improvement heading into next year.
While adding pieces through free agency and the trade market will be key, the internal development of the Bulls’ players will also be crucial. One of those guys is Dalen Terry, who just wrapped up his rookie season. He’ll be looking to make strides.
According to Daniel Greenberg, Terry has been working out with a number of NBA players this offseason, such as Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes.
“Chicago Bulls guard Dalen Terry has been training with several NBA players so far this offseason including Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes,” Greenberg tweeted.

Terry didn’t earn many opportunities with Chicago this past season at the NBA or G League level. He only appeared in four NBA games and three G League games, but he did show some potential.
With the lack of wing and forward depth Chicago has on the roster, Terry has a real chance to earn some minutes. Despite being listed as a guard, Terry is 6-foot-7 and can play up a bit if needed.
If Terry can develop a consistent three-point shot, which he’s shown at times, and continue to improve on the defensive end, he could be an impact player in Chicago.
