Authorities in Colorado are currently searching for multiple suspects involved in a peculiar heist at a pet store in Centennial. The incident, which took place at Perfect Pets, saw a male suspect allegedly feigning a seizure to create a distraction while his accomplice stole two bulldog puppies valued at $4,299 each from a display case.
The theft was captured on video, showing the male suspect pretending to have a seizure, prompting concern from store employees and customers. Meanwhile, his partner swiftly grabbed the puppies and made a run for it, knocking over an employee in the process.
One of the stolen puppies was later returned to the store by a Good Samaritan who had purchased it for $1,500 from a street vendor in north Denver. The suspect who faked the seizure, identified as Timothy Davis, 37, was apprehended at the scene and is now facing charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and drug possession.
Authorities are still on the lookout for the other three suspects involved in the heist. Descriptions provided include a black male in a large black coat and sweatpants, a white or Hispanic male wearing a blue and white beanie-style hat, and a female believed to be driving the getaway vehicle, a gold Cadillac Escalade with no license plates and heavily tinted windows.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude for the return of one of the stolen puppies and plans to reward the Good Samaritan who facilitated the reunion. Perfect Pets is relieved to have the dog back in their care and appreciates the community's support in resolving the situation.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the remaining suspects or the stolen puppy to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
