Bukayo Saka is viewed as an integral part of Arsenal's project and future. The 21-year-old is a guaranteed starter under Mikel Arteta, who would like to keep him at the Emirates for years to come.
A concern, though, is that Saka now has less than two years remaining on his contract, a deal that runs out at the end of the 2023/24 season. Although there's every suggestion that he would like to extend, clubs are already monitoring his situation and they won't hesitate to test the waters with a bid if he doesn't look to sign in the coming months.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the very latest on his supposed new deal.

'Formal offer' made amid Man City interest
As per The Daily Mail, Arsenal's main priority is to agree a contract renewal with Saka as soon as possible, and their current form puts them in a strong position to convince him to stay.
There's no doubt that Manchester City can offer the England international a more enticing wage package and almost guarantee trophies, but given the fact he's risen through the ranks at Arsenal and is one of their key players, he may want to lead his boyhood club back to their glory days.
The Gunners have 'formally offered' a new £200,000-per-week contract which would see him become one of the highest earners at the club, though it remains lower than the likes of Phil Foden at City, who recently signed a new deal worth £225,000-per-week at the Etihad Stadium.
Saka invests in Arsenal box
Saka has personally invested in an executive box at the Emirates Stadium. Whilst it could merely be a short-term investment to allow friends and family to watch the game privately and peacefully, it should serve as encouragement that he's fully committed to life at Arsenal.

£14.3m boost could help with contract renewals
Arteta and technical director Edu could soon reap the benefits of reducing the club's wage bill over the past year.
Taking the deals the pair have overseen in just under a year into consideration, they have managed to reduce the wage bill by a further £14.3million which should highlight the great progress made in this area and perhaps it can be used towards future investment in the first-team squad such as new contracts for Saka and William Saliba for a start.
